USE OF NATIVE PLANTS.
I love to work with plants that are native, beneficial, and responsive to our North Carolina environment, and I take liberally from the New Perennialism movement of 4-season gardens heavy on structure, texture, and color.
I choose to work with perennials for several reasons. Because perennials come back season after season, they are a sustainable choice for the earth. They adjust quickly to changing landscapes and climates. There are so many unique varieties of perennials that choosing to work with them is always an exciting experience.
